A to Z Challenge: The Letter I

United States
April 1, 2016 9:35am CST
I’m trying to get all the letters completed. I’m having fun with it, although some letters are more difficult than others. Islands: I have been to several islands in the Caribbean: St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. John. Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Aruba, Grand Cayman, Bahamas, Bermuda. I think that’s all. I lived on the island of Okinawa for 18 months. Idol: As In American Idol. I enjoy the talent on this show. I really don’t care who wins, because the final ten are usually all very good and could certainly have careers offered to them. I just enjoy watching the show and listening to the songs they sing. Ice Cream: Oh yeah! My favorite is Black Walnut. It was always in my freezer, until they had to close down the packaging plant for some reason. I was devastated. Ice Skating: I was never very good at ice skating. I guess my ankles were too weak. But, I was VERY good at roller skating. Illinois, Indiana and Iowa: I have been to those three states but I have not been to Idaho yet. Improve: I’m always trying to improve my vocabulary in both English and in other languages also. Indians: I visited the Sioux Indian Reservation in South Dakota and learned a few words in the Lakota Sioux language. “Wakan Tanka Kici Un” means “May God Bless you.” Ink: I probably spend more money on ink cartridges for my printer and ink refills for my G2 writing pens than anyone I know. Insects: I hate them all. And there are so many to hate. Like millions of different species, I understand. I’m sure they have a purpose in God’s infinite wisdom, but I see no purpose at all for mosquitoes or wasps. Iodine: This is a nonmetallic chemical element. Tincture of iodine is never missing from my medicine cabinet. It is and antiseptic that I use often. That wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. Have you tried the challenge yet? Be sure to tag me if you decide to try it. Picture by Pixabay

You will no doubt find X to be a little more difficult to deal with.

@Asylum Yes, who knows? I will have to resort to the dictionary, probably.

One of your "I" words that I like a lot here is the word ice cream.

Yes, I like ice cream too, but I haven't been eating it much lately, because I can't get the kind I want. Black walnut.
