I got April fooled by my husband

So I woke up to a text message this morning saying my husbands check was only $800. I freaked out and was trying to make payment arrangements to a friend for something and what not. He even said in his text messages that he flipped out on his boss and was in trouble. Well, that should have been my hint it was an April fool's joke but I didn't. Hello, I am blonde lol. Then, he just called on his break and told Happy April Fool's Day! Like seriously?! Now I am just sitting here shaking my head while everyone at his job is laughing. Thanks hubby! His check was actually $1100. Gee thanks. (Still shaking my head)

I agree and if I did that to my wife, I know for a fact she would get me back at least 5 times worse, so I have learned over the years to just stay away from those things.

Oh know I would have freaked out as well! My husband cannot pull a joke like that because his check is direct deposited lol I haven't pulled any April Fools jokes and I hope my husband doesn't either.

@carebear29 Oh okay. My husband never does anything with banking. I think the last time he even checked the balance was when we went to Disneyland for Halloween and that was only because he took money out of the ATM and it had the balance on it. I always try taking money out so we can have cash but I hardly ever make it to the bank. I would much rather have cash though.

Even for an April fools day prank that was still not a very nice one to pull. My uncle got my mom good had her in tears even he called her and told her his April fools joke and after he told her he said well I gotta go and hung up and not even a minute after hanging up he called her back and said April fools she let him have it told him you had me crying you big dummy.(

Reminds me of one of the ways April Fool's Day may have started: Emperor Constantine named his court-jester "Emperor for a Day," and that 'Emperor' declared that April First would always celebrate Fools.
Origin of the April Fools' Day holiday

What a relief to find out it was a joke. You must have been very anxious worrying about not just the money but also that he could be in trouble at work. You should make him treat you out to a nice dinner to make up for it now! LOL
