"Just a little outside" proclaims announcer Bob Uecker when Ricky the Wild One throws way high and outside. "Major League" is a hilarious comedy about the most inept team ever assembled and naturally it is Cleveland. The horrible owner wants to unload the team so she deliberately puts together an awful team on the field to drive away fans. It is the cliche misfit group gets it together in a crazy way and starts winning. Rickey (Charlie Sheen) is a fireballing pitcher if only he could get his fastball across the plate. Then there is Willie Mays Hayes (Wesley Snipes)! David S. Ward also directed the first sequel featuring more corny tasteless jokes. Image is Pixabay

I don't know if he's lying, but a couple years ago, on the Jim Rome show, Sheen said that he used steroids to boost his fastball.
