Why "myLot"?

I just noticed the dollar signs on the myLot logo at the top of the page and that got me wondering: where did the name "myLot" come from?
It could refer to the "lots" of money you get from participating on the site. Or maybe it refers to your "lot" (like a piece of property) of discussions all on one page. What else could it represent?
Does anyone know why the site was called that? Or who named it?

Years ago, one of the Mods (Crash) said it had to do with a 'lot' being a physical piece of property, and your profile here was 'your lot'.

Is that post still around? I remember when we used to link to it many moons ago.

@mysdianait Yeah, but since it isn't 'paged' anymore, it's very hard to single out that response...if you can find it...

I don't know where the name originated but I imagine @JolietJake knows of what he speaks.

The site was actually a site for garden supplies before it became this discussion site

@JolietJake Seriously? They just kept the domain name? But the name myLot makes sense if you think about it.
