So Patty Duke is Dead

I was informed Patty Duke is dead. Really, I was not particularly a fan of hers, although I didn't mind her in The Miracle Worker. But some others have recently died yet you hear little of. Grizzly Adams, aka Dan Haggerty died in January. Others - old timers - have died and they were never mentioned. Apparently it has nothing to do with the degree of their talent. It has to do with the age of their public. Have you noticed this as well? Frankly, it galls me.

My personal feeling on this is that perhaps we, as a society, pay far too much attention to these famous but not truly important people in the first place.

Nicely put, although I do think it is nice to recognize the work of a serious actor. Not adore them. Just recognize their work.

@KuznVinny You make a good point, and those truly serious about their craft, few as they are these days, do deserve to be recognized as being exemplary at what they do.

@DWDavis I mean, I keep receiving phone calls for the Fraternal Order of Police. If anyone would give them money after receiving a ticket, then surely actors should receive some credit for a job well done in taking away some of our stress.
