Addicted...

Well, most of you know by now how much I am addicted to one particular game these days. It took me a long time to even consider it, but I'm so glad I have and I can thank genealogy lol. If I hadn't met the granddaughter of my grandfather's brother... she would never have told me about the Sims. I know what you are thinking... that game is for kids! Well, not so much. The story lines are up to you and your characters can be from toddlers to the elderly. You can create some pretty amazing stories with that range. I just began a new game consisting of one teenager who is going to make a million dollars from her garden. I can't have her dying too soon, so I turned off aging so I can see just how long it will take. Okay, I will leave it there. I think that she has some crops to pick. If you forget about them... they die and I can't have that. Will be back after I pick all of my Dragon Fruit! In case you didn't know, if you cross snap dragons with strawberries.. you get a pretty awesome new item to sell and it's worth a small fortune! :)

I had heard about it, but never expected to like it so ignored it for years. I thought that it was just something that the teens would play for hours on end!!

I love doing genealogy! It is addictive...... yet a safe addiction! You can stop and start it.

It's precisely because games are so addictive that I don't play any. That game sounds interesting, but I know that if I tried it, it would get in the way of all the other things I need to do.

Greetings from one old-enough-to know- better Sims addict to another! I've played Sims 1,2,3 and 4 (3 is my favourite), and gardening is always one of my favourite pastimes in it. In real life - not so much! Too many man-eating bugs and creepy-crawlies!
