Day 14
Psalm 14
Psalm 14:1 < The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.
2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that does good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? Who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When the LORD brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
Are we a generation of fools? Have we turned our backs on God and denied his existence? Do we look for anything else to take his place, thinking something or someone else will? What have we done?
How many dens of iniquity fill your streets? Bars, exotic dance clubs, palm reading and tarot card establishments are in greater number than churches, and even they have watered down the Word of God so much it’s hard to find God in church anymore.
We have ‘take back our streets’ nights, but what about taking back our cities for God? What about talking about God to our neighbors, friends, coworkers? What happened to letting people know you are a Christian? Just don’t tell anyone you are a Christian if you don’t show it. They won’t believe you.
David wasn’t the only person to exclaim that nobody sought God. Paul did too.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God.
Why is it that Satan has such free reign in society today? Why is it that you can’t find anything decent to watch on television and going to the movies is mind blowing with the number of ungodly movies available to the public.
Christianity has such a small voice no one can hear it. We need to speak up, make our voices heard. We need to proclaim the Word of God from the rooftops and mountain tops. We need to stop waiting for someone else to go to the nations. We need to go. We need to tell. We need to be a voice to this generation.

It starts with me. It starts with you. Will you let your voice be heard and show the world Satan can’t have control any longer? Will you take back your city for God?

Let’s pray: Father, help me make my voice heard for you. Help me take back my city for you. I don’t want to just stand by and expect someone else to do what you’ve called me to do. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

I know quite a few people who say they don't believe in God. And I know quite a few others who say that they do, but act as if they don't. I try as hard as I can to live my life as God would want me to. I fail a lot, and those are the times when I pray even more to seek guidance. And I keep praying for our world. Prayers are needed so badly in these troubled times.

@Drosophila I think we all know those who say they are, but their walk will give them away every time. People can talk all they like. As the saying goes - Actions speak louder than words.

I remember when I first converted.. my house mate at the time said to me with the greatest sincerity, "please don't preach to me.. I don't need to be saved, I am doing just fine."
I never did preach to him or to anyone else who's got that line of thinking.. as they are simply not ready for anything.
