when were the good times to you?

to me it was when there wasn't really any technology. Families and friends really connected and went outside all the time. Now everyone stays inside on their phones.

Acutally technologies are bringing complexity along with it. Due to the modernization, people are totally relying upon it without knowing its consequences. They're prefering skype over a real-time meeting. A whatsapp message over a phone call this is really seperating people away from reality.

It's not the technology that is bringing complexity. If people knew when to use it and when not to the problem is almost solved.

@hydraa Unfortunately, we can't control. When every little bit of the everyday life is dependent on the technology .

@gaureshashank we can control it. Why skype when we can meet and have a conversation. Technologies are build to fill in the gap if their is an exception wherein two people are loacted at distant and can't manage to see each other everyday.

I agree. Technology is ruining the world contrary to popular belief.

@mypointsju New technology has created an obsession for cellphones, texting and messaging. In the "old days," people were not 24/7 breathlessly holding device in hand waiting for a message.

@JohnRoberts I agree about the obsession. I am just saying that back in the day, it was a heck of a lot tougher to get a hold of someone.

I agree to some extent. It has made our lives eaiser, but tougher in other ways. The big thing I think it made it worse is when you leave work, you don't leave it at work and your always connected. Communications is much better now then will say the 80's. Back then you had to wait for someone to get home or call you from a payphone.

Years ago, just before the start of celphones, for at least in the place I was at, I had a job going to suppliers. When I left in the morning, nobody questioned where I was at because people knew that I was working the whole day. When meetings with suppliers were short I had the rest of the day to enjoy. Those were good times! Nowadays when you leave work for an outside meeting, people call/text/email you for status; and ask where you off next!
