Receive an email about Redgage closing down

I do not know if the email is genuine. It mentions that RedGage Prepaid Visa card and Account will be closed in 14 days’ time on 18th April 2016. We have to email Redgage support with our bank account details to get the payment. Sad to hear that Redgage is closing down, even though I hardly earn anything from there for many years. My last recorded earning was in 2013. If the email is real, and Redgage is closing down, I have to admit that the owner is an honest guy and he wants to pay all of us before shutting the site down.

I have been a member of Redgage for many years but haven't visited the site for some time. I haven't (yet) received such an email and there is no mention of the site closing anywhere on the site that I can find. It may be that the email only refers to the Virtual Visa Card accounts (which I hadn't signed up for, so wouldn't expect an email). As far as I can see, the site itself is operating normally.

That is why I find it puzzling. If that is a mass email for all, everyone will talk about it. Perhaps they just send it out to international writers first, because they have to arrange for TT. Though they ask me for my bank details, they did not ask for password or Paypal or anything that scammers want.

I believe they gave up on the Virtual Card years ago. When I phoned them about losing money on the Virtual Card, the sent me Prepaid cards to cover the loss. They told me I was not the only person who lost money there so they were stopped it...

I do not even know what is the original email that they used. Redgage has been around for a long time, but my earning record stopped in the year 2013. At least the email request does not ask for password. They just ask for bank account detail which I do not mind giving. Nobody can take the money out but they can put the money in.

@miniam My earnings from 2013 has been sitting there for 3 years. Though the earning record stopped in 2013, I did not withdraw any of it. They paid by virtual visa so I did not withdraw. I just hope that they can send all the money directly to my bank account.

I think they struggled with changes. So it is possible that they had issue with the business model. Hopefully someone else makes use of their stuff and comes with new site.

I do not know how they manage to make money. The business model in the past is better. At least I know how to search through the content. Now the site is just a site full of pictures, and I do not even know how to search for recent content.

I was on Redgage for a little while, but did not like it at all, so I left.

Actually Redgage is nice, but the rate is too low.

Thank you I need to contact them, they still owe me money. The Virtual Visa Card didn't work for me, they stole over 80 dollars of mine so Redgage was paying me with Prepaid Visas.

I joined Redgage a long time ago, but I was not active. That time they sent me a Prepaid Visa, and I used it for grocery shopping. I did not have a single cashout request after they switch to Virtual Visa. I cannot use it for shopping! I have about $40 sitting in there.

So another one bites the dust. I was with Redgage several years ago then it got difficult to work on. It was mainly a photo sharing site. Hard to get any money.

Yes, it is hard to get any money. Even when they pay very well, the rate is very low. It is less than a dollar per 1000 views.
