Feeling lonely for no reason at all..

Once in a while, I get this overwhelming feeling of loneliness for no reason at all. The last time I felt it after a long time, was the morning I turned 60 years old nearly two and a half months ago..
This afternoon, this feeling came back..But I let it stay as long as it wants as I know that it is impossible to know happiness without knowing loneliness. And it's impossible to know peace without knowing chaos..
So, go ahead loneliness, make your day because tomorrow is mine...
Have you ever felt lonely for no reason at all? What do you do when that happens?..

I am pretty much impervious to loneliness but that is just how I seem to be wired.

@JohnRoberts John..I am like you a lot but do get some melancholy with memories and all..but my son..he matches you to a tee my friend..an only child and impervious to the world and the disdain is there.
He needs no one to entertain him in any way, shape or from..very resilient.

@SIMPLYD .. my equivalent to praying is to go deep inside of me where I take comfort.. and wait for that awful feeling to pass ..

Even worst than just feeling lonely, is being surrounded by people who make you lonely.
That's a great perspective though -- to just accept it! So as to truly appreciate happiness when it comes.
I know my day is coming. I just hope it comes sooner!

@bounce58 yes indeed .. the environment and what's in our environment is definitely a huge factor in how we feel..

If our internet gets disconnected any time this month, then that's the time I would feel lonely. why"?? because I won't be able to talk to you guys here. I envy you, my mom doesn't like mylot. well, it's good because she won't know my secrets hahaha.

It's hard to understand that feeling of being all alone and lonely ..but the good thing is it passes ..

@epiffanie Yes once in a while I too have experienced it.But though I may think there is no reason ,after a time I become aware of the reason for that feeling of loneliness.

Yes, I am and when loneliness strikes me without any reason, I pray hard, I think I just need prayers and I surpass this stage. I read it in a book that if we feel lonely without a cause, it is due to hormonal imbalance, I think it's true.

well it happens when am at school and theres no one to talk to ,or when nobody in the class is my friend ,and i feel so down you know ,so alone ,but all i do is go with the flow

Being alone does not cause me loneliness because I love solitude ..But feeling lonely even in the middle of a happy surrounding is weird .. But yes, writing about it definitely helps ..

I've heard a lot who have the same testimony. It has never happened to me though. I do get lonely but there is always a reason and when it comes to me, I always just count my blessings and look at the beautiful things and people surrounding me and the loneliness would go away easily.

been lonely most of the time .. since my job is like punching the moon.. hmmm i go to dating sites. chitchat there and after an hour gonna strumm my guitar play like a pro .. but sounds like an amateur haha ,,, thankfuly, no one around. no one will bully me lol..
