What Old Toy Do You Miss Most?

When I was a youngster, I had this green martian toy that you squeezed and its eyes and ears popped out. It wasn't much. Then I had this wind-up martian guy -- simply a head with an oversized moustache. The moustache didn't turn, but the head did.
Once I placed it on the floor when my mom had company. The thing moved into her view and she jumped up and screamed! How could I know she was so superstitious and easily scared by anything out of the remote?
I wouldn't mind having those toys back. What about you?

@KuznVinny I use to love working that rule, yet I was horrible at maths!

There you go. I know exactly what you mean. I was at the tail-end of slide rules.

The depression years? In the U.S.? That would put you in your 80s or more. But times have always been rough for some. As Jesus said, "You always have the poor with you." I'm pretty close to that now! I depend upon Social Security. Minimum wages go up, but not social security.

When I was eleven my brother made me get rid of my Sindy dolls and their accessories because he said I was too old for them. I now spend my time perusing antique fairs and charity shops for vintage Sindy's {the newer ones look like Barbie}. I may be 'old' now but at least I know not to tell anyone they're too old for their favourite toy!

I have become something of a collector of Uncle Wiggily books. I don't want them to be kept from the kids, but they need caring for. I am willing to read to the kids.
