There was this girl born from a family that loves gardening. They would always get plants and they would grow very big. You could say that they have green thumbs. But this girl, no matter how much she likes gardening, has been cursed with the dreaded black thumb. Every plant that she takes care of dies. The seeds that she would bury would never grow no matter how the years pass. Those sunflower seeds that she bought so many times, no matter the techniques used, it would not grow. Though we could say that she was scammed since she was such a gullible kid then. But now that she is older and has the knowledge of what to plant, they won't grow. She remembered one time in school where the students would plant some flowers to make the school pretty. Only hers died even though she took care of it properly. That was the time when she knew that she was cursed. That is why she has vowed to stray off of taking care of plants. Because of this, she has grown more jealous of her relatives that can grow plants easily. She wanted to give up her dream of having a garden of carnivorous plants. But she can't shake off the useless hope that is budding from her heart. Is the curse just her imagination? So she tried to plant again. "Maybe things are different now." Was what her thoughts said. So she tried planting with her mother. They planted some seeds. After weeks passed by, she saw some sprouting. But to her dismay, only the seeds planted by her mother were the only ones that sprouted. Still this did not discourage her. She waited some more. Those weeks became months until a year went by. The only thing that sprouted was grass and weeds. The curse was real. Oh the horror. Thus she has renewed her vow of staying away from planting.
