New York Giants sign running back Will Johnson to a two year contract

ESPN.com reporter Jeremy Fowler reported the news on Monday the New York Giants have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Will Johnson to a two year contract. The financial details of the contract were not released to the public by the Giants management. Johnson's agent Blake Baratz announced the news of the signing on his Twitter account on Monday. Johnson signed a contract with the Steelers as a n undrafted free agent out of West Virginia University before the start of the 2012 football season. Johnson became a free agent when his current contract with the Steelers expired at the end of the 2015 football season. Fowler reported the news on March 10, 2016 that Johnson had talks with the Chicago Bears, New York Jets, San Diego Chargers and the Tennessee Titans before he was able to reach his two year contract with the Giants on Monday. Johnson will be a welcome addition to the Giants since he can play the role of tight end, blocker, special teams and running back during the next two years with the National Football Conference East Division team.
