Do You Eat Lamb?

Well, certainly, some of you might respond. Why ask a question with such an obvious answer? That is the primary meat of my country. We all eat lamb.
You know something? For some of you, that is correct. I ask it because of the American readers and to demonstrate how foods eaten are as much a matter of where you live as any inherent taste in the food.
I personally love lamb, but the grocery stores are seeing to it that I can no longer afford to buy lamb. You see, I can't afford a rack of lamb. Chops are too insignificant in portion to make them a realistic part of my menu.
Even those chintzy, cheap bits of lamb have gone up in about a year or so from $2.99 per pound to $7.99 per pound (despite the decreasing cost of gasoline and the stores' excuse for why they jacked the price up in the first place.
So at times, I almost wish I could live in those lands where really good food is common and reasonably priced.
Oh, the same goes for crab, rib roast, and just about every other big-time delicious meat or seafood item.

Lamb is considered, by many, to offer health benefits in comparison to beef, as well. Frankly, I think it tastes better, too.

@kuznvinny The supermarkets really stick the boot in when it comes to pricing food, and it's rarely good quality. I'm on a grow your own fad at the minute, getting my vegetables all ready for planting. No intention of growing lamb. What I know of the meat industry has put me right off meat.

At 305 lbs and with a painful left knee, I've given up on growing a garden. Oh, did I tell you I am 67? So my grocery store IS my garden. I don't like (re: I hate) what how food animals are treated. I still intend to eat meat. Not veal.

It would be the same for me if it was predominant here, and if it was reasonably priced.

Lamb meat isn't popular here, but I've tasted good lamb dishes in this restaurant some years back. I would like to try lamb chops with gravy when I get the chance.
