I told you in another post that Leticia was having troubles. She came so very sad that I felt I had to do something for her.
She helped me and nursed me with love while I have my chemo and she is a very strong woman. But today I decided to make a lunch that was a real treat for her.
I defrosted a turkey´s upper leg (whatever the name in English ), took out the bone and filled it with onion and softened prunes. I added white wine and topped it with bacon stripes.
And to the electric oven it went while I made some rice. Leticia was in charge of the salad.
Lunch came out delicious! She was a lot happier after that. She told me that, if her house proved to be too much trouble in the future, she would camp here for a few days

I think a good meal shared with a good friend helps immensely.
I believe the word you were searching for is thigh for the turkey's upper leg. I am a bit intrigued about stuffing it with onion and prunes. The bacon of course would be yummy too.

@marguicha My husband would claim that. I would have to leave out the prunes though. He would think I'd gone mad if I put them in there. I love prunes though.

It is so nice that you do that Marguicha for Leticia. I bet it did cheer her up greatly.
Yes food is the essence of friendship as well. It would make me feel better to share it with someone.

I am absolutly sure that I would not be here if it hadn´t been for her. And she helped me when my husband was dying and tended to my grandson Tomas until the very end.
While it is true that I pay her to clean up and the like, I have no money to pay for what she has done for me and mine.

anyway why our big big grandfathers and grandmothers give an animal name to a country.. its strange isnt it?

For me, yes it does. Together with your moral support to her,
