Earthquake in Meghalaya, India yesterday at noon!

What is up with all these earthquakes!? Last year was a terrible year for us in India and Nepal. It looks like it has started all over again and it was around this time exactly. The one yesterday in Meghalaya was a 5.4 on the Richter scale and it was felt in Kolkata, where I am for a few brief seconds. I am not really sure if prayers will help us in this situation but yes we can pray for people not to die and get injured. Please pray for us because I think this is just the beginning according to news reports.

@cxndie,I had read about it.Fortunately there are no casualties.Earthquakes are disastrous.We,too,had experienced tremors last year when there was earthquake in Nepal.I pray for the safety of Meghalaya.

Yes no casualties but it does say that we should expect one anytime. It's usually the small ones that build up to a big one.

It looks like God is running out of patience with mankind. We are so bent on destroying ourselves, that he must be thinking, come I will lend a hand. According to scientists this is just the beginning of all the havoc that is yet to come. We are living in an era when anything can happen any time, especially natural disasters. Funny thing we have a hand in enhancing this too, by our careless use of the planets resources and thus everything leading to global warming. We called it all upon ourselves, drastic weather change, natural calamities and to top it human madness at the focal point,
