I want to believe, but I lack faith.

Do some reading, look into different religions if you want to! There is so much out there and it is worth looking into. Theology is the study of religions and I adore it. I am polytheistic myself but I am not set in stone what I really believe. It is more of something that makes me feel safe. Ask churches and people of different faiths what they do to support their belief!

Fake it when you can't make it. Who knows you might possibly end up having enough faith.

Such a short post. Why dont you explain more about what you are feeling. What experiences have you had with religion or spirituality? Is there a reason you believe or dont believe? Ellaborate!

A lack of faith can seriously inhibit one's ability to believe in God. What you need to do is look at the evidence. Oh hang on! There isn't any so that's not going to work for you!! I have similar levels of faith but I don't feel any need to believe so I'm totally comfortable with my lack of faith!

People often mistake gullibility for faith. It is important to take in knowledge in order to have sufficient evidence to base true faith on. That can be found only in a thorough study of the Bible. The Bible book of Hebrews says at 11:1, "Faith is the assured expectation of what is hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities that are not seen." I recommend you visit this site: JW.org

Its ok if you don't believe now but eventually there will be experiences that might make you believe not necessarily in God but something that is there up there protecting you!
