Parental advice on sleeping needed (baby and toddler)

I have a nearly 2 year old and nearly 1 year old, both boys. Over last weekend, we put our youngest sons cot into our middle sons room, they did share previously until the middle son got ill and was shouting in his sleep (before Christmas) and since then the youngest has slept in our room. Previously they both slept through the night without any issues from around 7 at night until 6 in the morning. However, now that I've put the youngest back in their bedroom I am having to get up a minimum of 10 times per night to settle him (last night was exactly 10 times, I counted and I'm shattered!). This is starting to mess with the older one too, disturbing his sleep as well as mine. I have a baby monitor in the bedroom so I can hear the slightest thing, and as soon as the youngest wakes and cries out, I go in and settle him. I would leave him to cry it out a bit, but it disturbs his older brother if I do... Does anyone have any tips to help me get back to a full nights sleep that doesn't include putting him back in our bedroom (I would do this if there is no other solution).

Is there any way you can make a third makeshift bedroom, and let him sleep there alone. like downstairs, in the living room, anywhere. just a corner where you can put his cot and let him sleep there. But should be safe, in case climbs out of the cot That way he can get used to being alone. Right now he knows the sequence of events. Slight noise and mums by my side.

Unfortunately, our house layout doesn't allow for us to put him anywhere else, it's either his room with his brother or our room (my oldest son would not have him in with him, as he's nearly 18 years old). It seems to have gone alright now though and he's back to sleeping through the night. I wouldn't have been so quick to go to him if he'd been on his own, but I really didn't want him to be waking his brother and then having 2 little monkeys wide awake in the night!
