There have been so many instances of these surgeries going wrong, that I don't think its worth the risk. I personally have done it once but because of medical reasons( to some extent). The Xanth marks that develop under the eye and over the eyelids can be taken out by medical surgery alone. I did it once, but the doc said they will reoccur, and they did. After that I never did it again. It looks really bad, but I don't care really. Fed up of how suprficial the world is become and how I was letting it get to me. Now I am happy in my skin. What do you think of cosmetic surgery?

I'm OK with it if it's for medical reasons. I hate it when it's done for pure vanity. The irony is that many people who have cosmetic surgery for vanity reasons often end up looking worse than if they hadn't bothered!!

@vhpsandi I've come across a number of people who think that having cosmetic surgery on their faces makes them look younger. It really doesn't. All it does is make them look like older people trying to look younger by having cosmetic surgery.

@WorDazza The procedures are all ridiculously expensive and if one has to do it have to get it done from a reputed doctor, who is going to charge a hefty amount. Also they never ever guarantee the outcome of the procedure. They make you sign a letter, stating you are totally responsible. I wonder how that works. With the knife in his hand, how do I become responsible?

I do not advocate this procedure though I suppose it could be okay if done correctly but the risks are too high. I think just being your self is better. I would never want it done personally.

I am glad that your procedure went well. I think cosmetic surgery is Ok if that is what will make a person happy. I just feel bad for ladies who feel like they need bigger hohas, smaller waistlines or better noses to be happy. But if they are happy after the surgery, more power to them I suppose!

I feel if you have the money to fix yourself up, why not. Everything you do has some sort of risk some more than others. As I get older I would like to feel comfortable in my own skin, I am not sure how I am going to take aging. But I think some people go way too far with these surgeries.

I think people should be happy in there own skin and not worry about what people think about then. (My opinion)

I think it should only be done when it is medically necessary and not because of some flaw you see. I know I don't want to go under any knife and some people on tv I have seen who said they have had cosmedic surgery do terrible.
