Rubbing Alcohol

I have a light colored microfiber couch which doesn't mix well with the little one. Actually it isn't to bad now but before he use to spill his cups on them and I felt like it was impossible to get the water spots off the couch.
Well I decided to try a Pinterest hack and I am in love! This morning I took the cushions off and cleaned them with rubbing alcohol and the water spots I have been fighting for years are gone! I need to go over it one more time for some tougher spots but all in all I am extremely impressed!
I literally tried all kinds of cleaners before this even my rug doctor shampooer and nothing worked better then the rubbing alcohol!

My kids got dusty handprints all over mine this weekend thanks to the fossil excavation kit my daughter got for her birthday... I'm definitely going to have to try this, since plain ol' water didn't get all of it off of there. Thanks for taking the time to share it here!

Every time I use water on out couch it leaves even worse water spots. Maybe because it is so late. I just know I never want a microfiber or light couch again. Hope it works for you!

@farbuoloxusy I've found that using a very slightly dampened cloth can work in some cases, but not all.
Our couch is a dark brown one... I was originally eyeing a lighter tan one, but my husband said no way with the messes our kids make. Sometimes he has more foresight than I do...

@yukimori My old couch was light in color and I would clean it with a damp cloth no problem. This light microfiber one shows water spots if you even walk by it with a cup of water.
