When you say it is better to sometimes forgive and forget or forget about it ...

Forgetting about something is not the literal meaning about forgiving and forgetting. It is putting aside your personal feelings and differences with another person's so that you will be able to mutually agree to stop arguing and learn to be accepting of each other in spite of personal differences in opinion so as not to retain a grudge that will cause a breakup in that friendship. I for one know from experience that I never forget the things someone said to me in anger at any given moment in my past. But I learn from it. I think about it long enough to realize the past is past, so put things behind you and just say to yourself, It doesn't matter now. Bygones, Water under the bridge.

Sometimes it is hard to forgive and forget. But I do try.

I usually just forget about it. Forgiveness takes time and courage.
