How many dogs can a man take for a walk at one time?

Dog walking in New York City has to be a good paying occupation, but just how many dogs is too many? A man seen walking down the sidewalk near Central Park has 8 dogs of various types and sizes all pulling on leashes and giving the guy sore rotor cuffs and perhaps a case of whiplash. He does this for a living. The dogs seem to know him personally as if he was their owner. There is a list he keeps handy. He must be sure these dogs have no fleas, have good attitudes and are used to each other. By doing this he has to keep them in an area for a while so they become accustomed to each other's smell and manners. This is no easy job. It requires a real dog whisperer and a patient one at that.

It is amazing how some people can do this (those who are good with training animals).

Yes, I sure would not want to even try walking 2 or 3 dogs because I think they would get all tangled up and bark at each other and want to pull in 3 different directions, much less, 10 or more!

If it was me I would get the dogs, the leashes, and myself so tangled up we wouldn't be able to move let alone walk..

I find it hard to imagine being even possible to maintain any control on those dogs.
