I have heard a lot about Batman and Superman latey and there are many people who are asking themselves which one of them is better.
I am sure that when grown ups think of superheroes, they take a mental space ship and go to the time when they were children.
I did that today and it took me to my first hero: Flash Gordon. I then checked on it and discovered that the hero had been "born" in 1934, a long while before I was concieved
But superheroes tend to cross time. Superman is as young as it was when I was a child.
Have you heard about Flash Gordon? At the Wikipedia it was compared, at adventures go, to Starwars.

Space travel need not use too much budget. Harry Potter´s special effects did mean a big budget, I´m sure. Yet it paid off.

Space was so awesome, back then. Now that we, human beings, have even polluted space, every is nearby.

Of course, I have heard about Flash Gordon and even read some of his comics when I was a kid. Sadly, I did not like him much because back then, at my age, I found his adventures too complex (maybe the involvement of science and space or anything else). I loved Mandrake and Phantom more (maybe because there were more of them published).

I liked Mandrake too, but those were more down to earth.

@marguicha It´s probably that I did not read too many magazines when I was a child.

Yeah, I know about Flash Gordon... In some respects he's Superman's big brother since they were both inspired by John Carter Of Mars. And let's not forget that oh-so wonderful theme done for the 1980 film performed by Queen:

Yes, I am familiar with Flash Gordon. I grew up watching the cliff hangers with Buster Crabbe. Those were exciting times with plenty of action.
