What Do Hockey Pucks and 2"X4" Lumber Have in Common?

What do a hockey puck, a couple of feet of 2"x4" lumber, and a bent steel plate have in common? Two of them. One on each side. They are "suporting" braces for my rear spring/shock assembly, both sides. lol
They call it "good 'ole fashion yankee ingenuity." I just call it scarey.
