Top 10 Bad Brains Songs #3 - "F.V.K."

I'm digging the Top 10 songs series' going on here on the site. It was started by @JohnRoberts with his Linda Ronstadt countdown. @FourWalls has been the most active with an Elton John Top 10, and she's in the middle of a Top 20 Merle Haggard thing, as well as a Top 10 Warren Zevon series. As for me, I'm almost finished with my Bad Brains Top 10, which is the band I was listening to when I decided to play.
Bad Brains is a hardcore band from Washington D.C. The band is, in addition to being one of, if not THE, best hardcore band in the world, a talented reggae band as well.
But it's the hardcore "F.V.K." (short for "Fearless Vampire Killers") that weighs in at #3.
"F.V.K.," as was the entire 1983 Rock for Light album, produced by The Cars' Ric Ocasek. Although the band broke up (the first of many) after the album was released, Rock for Light was performed by the classic Bad Brains lineup: vocalist H.R., guitarist Dr. Know, bassist Darryl Jennifer, and drummer Earl Hudson.
The band wasn't messing around with "F.V.K." The song clocks in at 1:03, and is pure, muscular, in-your-face, mosh pit-inducing hardcore.
It's a great tune, and is not to be missed.

I don't know. That's a good question. Perhaps Washington was being overrun by vampires in 1983.

@Ronrybs - I'd probably go to New Orleans like Anne Rice's vampires.

@TiarasOceanView - I know the name, but I'm not really familiar with their music. Where did you see them?

Short and to the point. The total antithesis of those 45-minutes art rock songs.

The art of the one-minute song.

I wonder if they took the name from the 1968 Roman Polanski movie Fearless Vampire Killers?
