Today, I reached my 1,000 follower mark on Twitter / myLot

Good morning everyone, Today is a happy day for me. Moments ago I reached my 1,000 follower on Twitter. It's not something I take lightly as I don't go in for buying followers. Each one I worked very hard to get with covering breaking news, opinion pieces, and my LIVE tweets. Twitter and I have a love-hate relationship. Either folks love me or hate me and this year, I've noticed that I've been even gaining the respect of some who hate me. That says a lot to anyone in the business. I owe a lot of it to covering the political scene with all the debates, rallies and the convention coming up. That's my good news for the day. Anything exciting happening with you? Note: Hopefully this makes up for my being ill on Friday. My day I picked to share with all of you. I was unwell most of last week from my tinnitus and hyperacusis but I'm feeling much better now. -Wendy

I have to admit I put off a twitter account for a long time. But it really does suit the work I do now so I managed to get used to it.

I have to admit I keep waiting for a better social media than Facebook. I'm not really a Snapchat person and have yet to truly explore Instagram. I do find it useful when asking others opinions.

@WendySpickerman I don't belong to any of them. I once asked a writer friend if being on Facebook helped bring people in to read her writing. She said that it didn't seem to help. So I just never bothered joining any of them.
