Actually my husband is just 44 years old, and our child is 11 years old now. Although it is not a very early age for him to get married and have a child, but it is very common time in the city. Today my husband told me that one of his classmate who is already a grandma in the village What a difference! A grandma sounds to be a very far term for me

I think the education level in the village is lower than the city. When they leave school early, they will tend to get married early.

Yes, this may be the main reason. It is just like students usually graduate from the university at the age of 22 years old.

@scheng1 I don't know. Usually village people don't have a high expectation and demands for their lives. So they can be content and feel satisfactory. Whereas in the city, people always pursue so many things, wealth, fame and so on. It is exhausted and sometimes it leads to high pressure and then bad health. So it is hard to say which life is happier.

@youless Actually I am sorry for her child and grandchild. Her child must be in his 20s only, and there are still opportunities to get ahead if not for the baby. I think this is the cycle of poverty among the villagers. When they do not have high education, and yet they have high expenses, that is a way sure to get stagnant.

Here it is not common to marry before 20. And in the city it is even a little early to get married before 25.

Haha ikr it is because of what the word paints on or mind. But neway i gave my mom a grandkid when she was 45. The good thing on having a kid early is your still young when your child grows up. Youll be like siblings.

I know a lot of very young grandmothers. Some had their children quite young and in return their children had their children young. This happens.

Yes, agree with you. In my mind, grandma is a woman when she about 50 years old or more. But, I have a neighbor who has a grandchild, while she still 35 years. I think it is personal choice when they want to get married and when their children get married...

@youless This situation also happen to my mother. My mother being a grandma when she is 33 years old...My mother gets married at 15 years and my oldest sister gets married at 16 years. But, this happens about 40 years ago and it is common phenomenon in my country. If it happens right now, it looks strange...

Some people become grandparents at a very early age while others are olders. If your child is only 11 years old you have a while to go before you will have any grandchildren.

The people who live in the village usually get married and have children earlier than the people in the city.

That is young to be a grandparent, but I know that it happens to people who are even in their 30s.
