Oh Bear... What have You Done?

My parents have quite the cafe going with their bird feeder. Many different types of birds have frequented it, and even squirrels and the regular rabbit stop by. Suffice to say it runs low on seed quite often.
On Saturday my father went to the store and got a new bag of seed and set it on the porch. That night a visitor came to the feeder, dumped it, and stole the entire bag of seed. They found bear paw prints in the little bit of snow around the feeder. So I guess the hungry bear decided it wanted to be fed too.
Where exactly it took the sack of feed is a complete mystery, as there wasn't even a trace of it.

And it came back last night and took their other feeder. Then it tried to get into the garage and collapsed the wood pile. Apparently the whole neighborhood has issued complaints and some think that it is a young bear.
So today I rigged my giant mouse trap. It will catch the bear!

@Jessicalynnt Possibly. If it's becoming a problem bear it will need to go.

I've dealt with those types, it probably would run away when someone else is around. Even huge bears have fled when I just startled them. Of course, these are black bear. I don't think the same would hold true for a grizzly!

You live in a place where bears can steal things from right outside your house?! You American folk are nuts!

A bear destroyed my humming bird feeder last year. My neighbor is always chasing one off his porch.
The coyotes hang out near the barn at night at times. There may be lots of houses but in towns surrounded by forests the forest life comes down at night!
Even with all that going on I rarely see any bear or coyotes.
