Is what you’re doing now what you always wanted to do growing up?

I can honestly say no. What I wanted to be was a musician (which failed), or a veterinarian. I only thought I couldn't handle the veterinary route because I thought that it was bad if I felt sad watching animals in pain, when I learned that's what you're supposed to have. With all of the growing I've done, I've learned that I like writing more, and though I'm not sure it'll get anywhere, but I am doing something I like. Would the me from 20 years ago be mad at my choices? Maybe, but I'm okay with that.

Yep, I am teaching music and doing my part as a church musician. Also, more good things have been added, like I am living in a foreign country and am fluent in their language. Also, I was able to adopt a girl and I'm a grandma (nothing I expected but it's nice.)

I guess that's the most anyone can ask for.

I think most of us will probably say no to this question, sadly. But then again, as kids we are not exactly realistic in our goals of what we want to be when we "grow up". I am definitely not doing what I wanted to, but I like my job well enough and it pays the bills. When I was a kid I couldn't decide what I wanted to be at all - I wanted to be a police officer, gymnastic person, the president, a therapist. None of those jobs seem like something I would want to do today. Lol.

Definitely no. When I was really young I thought I was going to be a doctor. Then when I realized I couldn't handle blood, I thought I would benan engineer. After I graduated from university I didn't acrtually do any emgineerin-stuff. And then 2 years ago, I moved into planning. Definitely not anything I could have imagine career-wise, when I was young.

For nearly 25 years I mastered myself as an accountant, failing with some other ventures in between. Now I find writing is something I love and am trying to make some money out of it.

Well I wanted to be a pediatric surgeon when I was younger until I realized that I am not good at school and that would take a lot of it! I do work with children still though, I provide childcare and I am a mom. =)
