I’m Richer

I glanced out my window and noticed the rain had quit and the sun was out. I decided I had better go down to my mailbox and get the mail before it started to rain again. I finished up what I was doing on the computer. Once I was done the rain poured out of the sky. I thought maybe I ought to just drive down. I fiddled around for a bit. Then the rain stopped. I grabbed my coat and headed for the mailbox on foot. My mailbox is down the street from my house. I got my mail and head back to the house. On the way back the sun came out. Then I saw something shiny in the street. It looked like a dime. I pondered whether to pick it up or just leave it. I decided to pick it up. And yes, it was a dime. A bit beat up from cars running over it, but very clearly a dime. For you who are superstitious, it was heads up. I was told to never pick a coin up if it wasn’t heads up because that was bad luck. I never cotton to that. I would have picked it up if it was tails up. A dime is a dime. So now it’s raining again and I’m a dime richer.

You're richer? I thought you were Richard! These found coins can add up - money is money! Pennies are common, but finding dimes are rare. And how do you think you will spend your treasure?

I don't blame you! If I find a dime it's going in my pocket heads or tails! Lol!

We could use a little rain. Picking up the dime would mean an addition for me. Well, you're a dime richer, blessed.

I wonder how long it would have taken you to make a dime here?
