Where do You Find Your Money?

First, I guess any money you find could be considered "a lot," even a dollar, simply because you didn't have it before. Hopefully, however, it's more than that, but free money is free money.
A couple months ago, I was getting change across the street at the laundry because I had the munchies and the vending machine doesn't take bill's. I looked down, and there was a twenty right at my feet. I casually picked it up and walked home.
But you know where a really good place to find money is?
Bar parking lots, either after close or very early in the morning.
When I get manic, I just can't sleep. Sometimes I do really weird things that are best not brought up here, but I also, at times, recognize it and put it to use by going for long walks, or riding my bike around downtown. Either way, I cut through bar parking lots.
Keep your eyes peeled. Over time, I've found at least a hundred bucks around bars. These drunkards are always so busy looking for cops while trying to fish their keys out of their pockets, they don't notice that they are dropping money all over the place (just one reason I walk to and from the bar.)
Obviously, you aren't going to find money in every single parking lot every single time, but you might be surprised at how much you do find once in awhile. It gives you an entire new reason to go bar hopping.

Wow that's awesome. The most I found was $5 at the market. No one claimed it so I took it. $5 richer.
Those people around you sure do lose money easily!

It's what drunk people do, bless their souls. When they aren't getting sick, they lose money. Or their drivers licences. I've found a few of those as well.

@infatuatedbby - Well, it's Downtown Colorado Springs, which is pretty much all bars and shopping. Although I did find fifteen bucks one morning in a bar parking lot in Modesto.

Now that is what I call thinking outside the box. Of course, you have to be awake at those times which is usually the hardest part.

@teamfreak16 I should of did that when I used to take my buddy Tristan for our 3 in the mourning adventures. He had the nose for it, actually the bladder. Probably would have peed on all the dollar bills. I never liked going downtown because I would have to kept him on a leash. He would not know how to behave with the new excitement.
I see nothing weird, sometimes people just need to find time for themselves. That is how city folk have to do it and if it pays. More the power..

I agree. Once in awhile I cycle into mania, and can only sleep a couple hours, if at all. So a lot of times I end up outside. If I don't do anything weird, I just walk or ride my bike.

@crossbones27 - The funny thing is that I don't go looking for money. I just find it.

sometimes people forget to take their change from travel ticket machines and gaming machines in arcades too - worth running your fingers through the coin dispatch tray if passing - most times nothing but occassionally a little money

@teamfreak16 that could potentially be returned to its owner as it would surely belong to the last ATM user before you - if I can get the money back to who lost it I would but it was their loss and your gain, so well done

@arthurchappell - That's true, but wouldn't I have to track down the bank and have them go through their records and video?

I have found money in phones. I did once find twenty bucks in an ATM.

Yeah, it's not exactly feasible for everyone to go walk or ride through a parking lot after 2am. It sometimes is for me, though. And I get lucky once in awhile.

Oh, if I actually see someone drop money, I tell them. If it's just lying on the ground, however, I'm keeping it.

Wow, you find a lot! A friend and I used to find all sorts of change on the floors where there were vending machines in college. It seems like people drop some of their change and don't bother to pick them up. We found quarters in between machines or next to it.

Yeah, college kids aren't real careful with their money either.
