Historical fun facts are interesting to me. I hope you enjoy the following. A fledgling political party in Germany held its first meeting of importance in February 1920 in Munich: This party eventually became the Nazi Party and its chief spokesman was Adolf Hitler. I had not realized that it had been organized that long ago. Mexico declared independence from Spain in 1821, 195 years ago. Emperor Hirohito of Japan died in 1989 at the age of 87 years old. When I think about that fact, it amazes me that someone who was born in 1902, and was such a huge political figure, was still alive when I had been married for 30 years. It’s interesting to me how one person’s life overlaps the lives of those born many years BEFORE he was born, and lives on into the many lives of those who lived in the years AFTER he was born. Very interesting I did know about Hitler but not whe Mexico decared independence from Spain, maybe they should have stayed with them. The Japenese Emperor I had heard about but knew very little about him. Thanks for the interesting facts.

I really enjoy learning and sharing FUN FACTS. A person might be surprised to learn how many of these little tidbits of information come up on shows like "Jeopardy" and in "Trivial Pursuit."
