Can Anyone Help

I have a problem with my smart phone. One App by name update software has been downloaded and now I cannot uninstall it even after formatting the phone. Says it was installed by the phone company, but it was not.

This is why I don't download to much apps on my phone. There had also been rumors of apps serving as spies to developers and sometimes they tend to steal information as well.

No i have not downloaded it. Got downloaded as some malware or something. i do take care before downloading anything.
