Favorite Season Challenge

@carebear29 started an easy Friday night challenge: What is Your Favorite Season? I am a summer guy. A few people here know that I am obsessed with cycling. Every year, I set a goal to ride my mountain bike at least 1000 miles. The majority of those miles come during the summer months. If it's in the 80's, I ride better, stronger, and am able to do the longer rides that I love. Also, my girlfriend likes to sit out in the sun. I like to sit with her, drinking beer and watching people and traffic. I can't do that stuff when it's cold. I don't function well in the cold.

Yes, spring and summer are best by far. A thousand miles is a lot of riding.

There are years I don't make it, some years I surpass it. I finished last year with 1179. One year I did 2500-ish, but I rode everywhere unless I really absolutely had to drive.

There aren't really definitive seasons in Southern California. Winters are cooler and summers are hotter but basically it's clear skies and sunshine most of the year.

I like Autumn, not too hot or cold. Colour changing all around and the evenings are just starting to draw in

Here it seems like we don't even get a full autumn any more. Too much winter weather too soon.
