Does anyone believe that the Driver will be caught and even if caught he will have to undergo any imprisonment for his reckless driving? Unless laws are changed such that they are a deterrent for everyone, be it rich or poor, of political clout or no, getting away with crimes will be so very easy.
Days after a speeding Mercedes in north Delhi's civil lines area killed a person, another hit-and-run case involving a BMW car was reported from Delhi NCR region Noida on Saturday.

I think so many people have smartphones now, and someone will take down the car number of the speeding car. Even if the police does not want to take action, those who have captured the accident in the cellphone can upload online for everyone to see.

Article does not say at what time the accident took place. If it at night time, probably there may not be anyone around to take down the vehicle number.

@karjatwala That is why the youngsters love to do it in the middle of the night, and in one corner. Young people are all like that. When you tell them not to do so, they will purposely do it to show that they dare

Wow that is very scary. Were all the pededtrians OK? Is there an investigator to look into this? Normal hit and runs here dont really get investigated like maybe they should. It always helps to have a license plate when these things happen though to give to police. Then they might do something about it.

Here the rich and the famous get away with anything and everything. You must have heard of the Bollywood Actor Salman Khan, even after 13 years, the court could not decide who was at the drivers seat when the drunk actor killed while driving.

Here where I live there are videos on buildings and the roads, If a hit and run is seen by a camera they usually get the driver and he does go to jail and pays a fine. I hope yours gets caught.
