Opinions on the latest pink Floyd album?

I recently got hold of the Endless River. However I just couldn't get the old Pink Floyd feels. It has a new sound to it. Wondering if anyone else feels the same way. It just has a weirdly modern sound to it which I don't seem to be liking. Gilmour's guitar bits still retain their old sound and feel . But their overall sound is not the same

I didn't realize Pink Floyd was still recording new music. You can't expect an old group to retain the magic of decades ago.

It was only Gilmour and Mason who made the entire recording, so the style is bound to change. As for the expectations I'd say it is merely a fan's silly optimism and I'll leave it at that.

They sought to revisit the old division bell recordings. This is their last album. The title of the album has also been taken from the lyrics of the song high hopes.
