I was laying here earlier and looked up at my window and low and behold....a squirrel with I don't know what in his mouth looking at me. always amazes me how many critters live here and we are kind of near city like a suburb with houses on each side and up and down the street. no idea how he could have a nut? haven't seen a nut tree near us. one day I saw a duck just walking through the back yard, one day, 2 lovely doves sitting on the fence. yesterday a beautiful red cardinal was on the window sill. never know what I will see next. problem is much as I like looking at them I realize they carry germs and deseases and fleas and tick. rather not have them so close. also, my daughter said we can't use the sulfer on the ground like crazyhorselady recommended. says the neighbors will get mad.? what do you think?

I bet it was a nut he buried last fall. It's how they survive when there is nothing ready to eat yet,.

It is good to have little creatures around, perhaps it was a nut or maybe a rock or a stable piece of bread. As long as you clean where they were and don't touch them you will be fine. I saw some prairie dogs the other day I was so surprised they were so cute. I am not used to seeing wildlife like that.

I think he has an acorn he's carrying. We have squirrels up and down the ledge on the house quite often and no big issues with fleas or ticks so I wouldn't worry too much.

It's nice to have wildlife outside your window - you won't get any fleas if they stay outside.

I would like it better if I didn't worry over Coco going out so much. just don't know what she might catch from them

Yes, squirrels are cute and all but they are rodents who carry diseases.

that is my worst concern. mostly because of Coco and we spend so much time close to each other

I think it's great you see so many different birds and animals. Nature is wonderful to watch.

Maybe looking for a place to eat what's in his mouth. It's a beautiful animal, just let it be there but don't touch it.
