In South India Idli and Dosa is regular breakfast items. The Idly is the most sought after one in all most all restaurants and hotels. The next comes the Dosa. Idly is always preferred with Chutney and Sambar. The Chutney will be prepared with various combinations. If the regular Coconut Chutney is not available people most of them prefer Peanut Chutney which will be very delicious. Preparation: Take a metal bowl and keep it on a stove. The peanuts will be heated to brown and after 3 minutes take them between your palms and rub them. It helps in removing the thin layer on them. Now, saute the Green chillis in a 2 spoons oil which is put in a metal bowl. Now in a mixing jar, taken cumin seeds, Peanuts, Salt and roasted Green Chills and grind them all.Now your peanut Chutney is ready for eating along with Idlis. This side dish can also be used for Dosa. Even Red Chillis or Red Chilli Powder can also be usedin the prepartation of this Chutney. Curry leaves can be used to garnish this side dish. This is the easiest and tastiest Chutney for Idly or Dosa.

I love palli pacchadi!!! I come from a telugu household and I love this.. It's a standard preparation at home. This is probably my favorite chutney to eat along with idli while I love onion chutney with dosas. I also love having both idli and Dosa with podi..
