Good morning, dear lotters. I have been checking the web for a recipe of a chicken cooked in cognac and dry white wine. We had it when we were young at a restaurant that had only that dish. I will have to do it today for my guests. The story is that one of my best friends´ daughters is married to a young man who is very handy with carpenter work. So, when one of the doors from the upper shelves of my kitchen was going to fall on my head, I called them. I said "I have a chicken" and Carla quickly responded "au cognac". Fortunatly she didn´t want the whole thing which includes french fries. I hate being at the kitchen cooking while I have visitors. So it is the chicken with rice. Her hubby will fix my kitchen and I will cook for them. Do you do such things with your friends?

Well that is exciting, yes we do that also. In fact my one son will be fixing a door at the Mexican restaurant, in exchange they will feed him. He loves when they call him to do some work over there. They have also talked to him about some remodeling work they want done.

@Marcyaz I love that as often we don´t have the money to get someone to do a small job for us.

That sounds so nice that he will fix it for you and you will make him food. I love fries but I am a vegetarian so I would eat the fries if you cooked this meal hehe

Yes I do that all the time. Exchange one thing for another is always nice.

I don´t have the money to pay for small jobs and not many people are willing to do small things. So this was a wonderful idea.
