Rigged Social Sites - StumblingUpon

Stumbling Upon Something?
United States

Do you use social sites to contact people about something you've done? Well if you do, you'd better be prepared to check more of their stuff out than you expect for the others to for you. In the past, I've even received thousands of visitations thanks to "StumblingUpon". But I eventually came to realize if you want this hope to exist, you'd better be spending all kinds of time looking at everyone else's stuff or it would soon be ZERO. Now how can it be zero? It can only be consistently at the low level if the social site is making "darned certain" of it. Q.E.D. [which was to be proved]

I've used StumbleUpon and it seems like a pretty good site. I haven't used it lately but plan to get back to it. We have to view others material. Working together that's the way.

Yes, it is the way if you want to spend lots of time. Lots of time. Lots of time. Frankly, a waste of time. If I want to find articles, I trust my ability to use a search engine. It exists simply to make money for StumbleUpon.

I signed up for stumbleupon years ago, but never really used it. I thought the site was pretty confusing, and I don't understand how it works.

I feel the same way about some of the others like Pinterest. How in the Dickens does that work? So although I joined, I am sure I'm not using it right.

Well, that is why I use anything online. For making money. I have (hello!) REAL friends. I don't need to go online to make social contacts. So, like you, I use it only for "business."
