What a pain!

I got up this morning to discover the plug that controls the light over my sink had been taken out by the cats. It has a circuit breaker, but it gave a horrible buzz when I tried to reset it and it was still wet - thank you cats... I can handle that for a little bit, like today. But this plug also handles a small fridge that we use as yet another over flow fridge and the cat's water fountain. Not good. So, the roomie contacted the guy who has been helping us with the garden, yard, and replaced the kitchen sink faucet and garbage disposer switch. I contacted my guy friend who likes to tinker with electricity. No word from her guy, but my guy got back right away. He said he would just pick up his tools and come over after work. So, I jumped up and loaded the dishwasher - but didn't start it in case he needs to cut off that circuit. Then I went over and cleaned that counter top. Including moving said counter top fridge and cleaning under it. Now, when we evicted that former roommate, the roomie said she'd pick up and clean the counter tops. Something I think has been done maybe every other month since June. Also, I don't think that counter top fridge has been cleaned under since we got the new counter tops. So, I moved that fridge over so it drips into a trash can since I sure can't take it off the counter top alone. And I think it was last defrosted back when we replaced the counter tops. Now, we haven't opened it since the power went off, and its not extremely hot, so hopefully the stuff in the fridge won't suffer too badly. I went over to Lowe's and got a new plug, a new cover for the plug, a new power strip to plug the fridge and cat fountain into and... a few other things that we needed. Almost $100 later... And how has your day been?
