A report from the Washington Post said on Thursday the Washington Redskins will make an offer to former Carolina Panthers defensive back Josh Norman. Norman became a free agent on Wednesday when the Carolina Panthers decided to drop the one year franchise player tag on their defensive back making him an unrestricted free agent. The Redskins are in need of his services as their cornerback since Chris Culliver and Kyshoen Jarrett are recovering from injuries. The team that signs Norman are likely to grant him his wish to pay him in the price range of $14-$16 million dollars for at least five years which the Panthers were not willing to pay him in 2016. The San Francisco 49ers are the other team that is interested in signing Norman to a long term deal. Norman has stated that he wants to stay in the East Coast region since he played his college football at Coastal Carolina where he was a fifth round draft choice of the Carolina Panthers in the 2012 National Football League Draft. According to a report from ESPN.com Josh Norman will sign a five year, $75 million dollar contract with the Redskins this weekend.

Sounds like he'll be a good player wherever he goes.

Though we will miss seeing JNo on Sundays, we certainly won't miss his attitude. There have been incidents in the locker room where he would get into other players faces. He had one break out season and in that season it wasn't shown in every single game. He thinks he's worth 14-16 million a year....we offered 12. So he showed his true greedy colors. Don't think he'll play for a better organization, yes I know I am biased as a die hard Panther fan. David Gettleman is truly smart when it comes to bringing players together to play as a team for the team. He has no trouble cutting players who don't care to line up with that philosophy. He let Steve Smith go and no one thought that would happen. No one person is our team, but the collective players make our team what it is. As it should be. I also heard he hired a new agent but keeping the other until he finds a new place to play. Wonder us, if that had anything to do with being cut by us. He also said he was refusing to begin practices starting next week if we kept the franchise tag on him, so we knew he would be leaving. I'm not sure he thought it would be that quick though. Have a blessed evening.

He will not have a problem securing a job. Football players are slowing becoming year to year employees.
