Top 10 New Order Songs #8 - "Mr. Disco"

When it came time for New Order to record their 1989 album, Technique, they headed to the island of Ibiza. Multiple sources, Spin Magazine included, place the band in various nightclubs, where the group became enamored with the acid house scene. As a result, Technique was aimed at those dancing acid fiends. One of my favorites from Technique is "Mr. Disco," which is a great dance song, even though it's not quite as acid house-y as the rest of the album. "Mr. Disco" was not released as a single, and it's not really single material, but I love it anyway. It's definitely not filler. To me, it's one of the best songs on what is a really good album, so good that it hit #1 in the UK. (Note: "Blue Monday" will not be a part of this series, simply because I just wrote about it a couple days ago.) These Top 10 series' were started by @JohnRoberts, and they are a lot of fun. Feel free to join in!

I think because it was not a single is why I am unfamiliar with it. You are right in Mr. Disco being one of their most danceable tunes.

Yeah, you'd pretty much have to own the album in order to hear it. I have another from that album on the way at some point.
