Once again, Into the Groovy takes a break from the 80's and reaches back to the 1970's:
I listen to a lot of different musical genres, some of which, on paper, don't quite seem compatible with each other (they aren't, but it works for me.)
I have, for instance, a soft spot for 70's-era R&B.
Which brings us to a classic 70's (1974) R&B tune, "Show and Tell," by smooth-voiced Al Wilson (1939 - 2008.)
The Mississippi- born Wilson scored big time with "Show and Tell," a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as Top 10 on various other Billboard charts.
It was a smash hit, and, thanks to Wilson's smooth vocals and a mellow groove, deservedly so. The link below is a clip of Al Wilson on Soul Train.

I remember this one well. It was a big hit. Memory flashback. Who's next, Al Green?

Oooh, I didn't even think of Al Green. I do have an Isaac Hayes extended jam that I have to work in sometime.

Not a bad idea. I'm heading back into the 80's first, though.

I'm more into the 70's R&B than other decades.

I do too. Must be because the 70's were when I really got exposed to a lot of different stuff.
