Here is my cornmeal recipe just in case you want to try.
Recipe is for 6 persons,
6 cup of water in a pot to boil
Get a bowl put about quarter of a pound cornmeal with a tea spoon of salt added inside put about 1 cup of water cold water and mix it out.
Throw in your cornmeal mixture in boiling water, use a long enough spoon to mix it out.
Please turn your stove on low at this point. Mix out cornmeal until smooth please cover your cornmeal with a pot cover to prevent splashing.
Let it cooked for about 12 minutes add nutmeg. Cinnamon and vanilla
I then use 1 pack of lasco lasoy (a milk free product) mix in a bowl with about ½ cup of sugar add a little water to get a syrup effect pure it into your pot and mixed then turn your stove off.
Note you can use any milk you want you just have to add sugar until it’s to your taste.
Put in your bowls cool and then enjoy!

I am used to a very different kind of breakfast. I don´t eat porridge nor cereals. My breakfast is a couple of cups of coffee and a piece of bread with butter and cheese.

I don't eat breakfast. Bad habit I've developed as I've gotten older. For some reason when I wake up in the morning, my stomach doesn't want anything to eat. After about 3 hours, my stomach wakes up. My breakfast is light. Maybe toast. Maybe eggs. Maybe fruit. Seldom porridge or grits or pancakes.

At first I thought that you were supposed to put it in a glass and drink it, but I see that its very much like our hot oatmeal... just made with cornmeal instead. Yeah, I think that I would try it!
