If gender roles are bad then why is it that they still exist? Why do gender stereotypes still exist?
For example, males are still looked upon by the following stereotypes: dominant=alpha male; non-dominant=omega male; if he has sex with lots of women then he is considered alpha and a player, but if he does not have sex with lots of women or no women then he is considered omega and too shy.
When it comes to women they are expected to be non-dominant and submissive. Women themselves claim that they like dominant males, not non-dominant ones. Women themselves stereotype people even though they claim to be against stereotypes.
There is a reason why the young generation is interested in bdsm because it is one way of fulfilling their primitive instincts to be dominant or submissive. Gender roles exist everywhere as far as I can see. Is it possible for them to ever disappear or will people remain at their primitive instincts of being dominant or submissive, alpha or omega, etc?

I prefer to be the dominant one at times, but permissive on others. Stereotypes have existed and willcontinue to exist. It is of human nature to be dominant at times or non dominant at others, deending on the circumstances.

This is about gender roles not about the boss being dominant to the employee.
