I found out the hard way about mold formation in corners of a room where boxes stand in a corner up to the ceiling
Dallas is a very humid city. In every case where I have done cleaning and moving of storage containers and furniture like book cases from the corners and the walls of a house that is not very well insulated only to discover a mold that looks ugly enough to warrant concern.
Fortunately for me I found out there is an easy solution for mold removal using a cotton hand towel, some generic mold and mildew remover and some elbow grease.
In seconds the mold comes right off the walls. And it is only located in places where sunlight can not reach.
After using any cloth to wipe this mold off I have to resort to using bleach, hot water and cold rinse to purify the towel or towels. It is a matter of concern to me that the conditions for mold on corners of a room where sunlight is blocked by furniture or storage containers.
The reason for this concern is, if this mold can form on walls, think of other places it might exist, for instance, the inside ventilation surfaces of air conditioners, the interior of a computer, surfaces of books, shelves, clothing in a closet and so forth.
The mold is not always visibly apparent to the eye. Therefore the best way to make sure there is no residual mold on surfaces is to remove all clothing items from closets and do a quick warm or cold rinse in the washer, soak all hangers in bleach water and rinse with cold water, steam clean the curtains, and the carpeting or any rugs. Wear protective rubber gloves to avoid contact and after all is finished, using a dehumidifier and air purification device you can keep pollen and mold from ever returning.
People with allergies often benefit from this. If you can sea mold, chances are it is everywhere you can't see it as well.

Left untreated for a long time, mold can ruin drywall. That is why early detection is best for quick removal. water and bleach or water and vinegar might be effective also.
