You can never be too careful

My son and I went to church this late afternoon like we usually do. I thought it was going to be a normal day for us until a man sat beside my son. I wasn't thinking much about it. Naturally, someone would also pick that spot because there's a wall fan swiveling at our direction. The heat is just unbearable if you're not anywhere within range.
Anyway, I wouldn't have minded until he slid closer to my son and he kept looking at us. A bit later, he took out his phone and texted something, then he pointed the camera at us as discretely as he could no doubt but I knew better. I told my son that we'll go home and while we're walking, I couldn't help but look behind me to see if the guy was following us.
I didn't get to hear mass but I was just being careful. I've never felt so nervous in a long time. There had been cases of child abduction in my country and I would rather stay at home than risk him being taken away from me. I told my aunt about it and she said that it's good that I've followed my intuition.

It´s better to avoid danger than to confront it! You followed the good voice from within.
