My day with a sales rep.

So this lady came up to me and introduced herself as a sales representative walking round promoting a new type of a rechargeable flashlight.I listened to her as she explained a few things about this new model and so I asked her the price. After getting her answer,I just told her though I knew this would come in handy in times of power black-outs,it was unfortunate that I had no money at the time. She went on and posed that she was wondering how I could just stay in that state of being broke yet new and important things are upcoming and so am at a loss.I already own another model of a rechargeable flashlight only that I didn't want to appear like am ignoring her but her thinking that I should have bought this one just made me wonder whether this was a promotion up for grabs to me,because I don't always go for something because it has been introduced to me for the first time. Besides even if I had the money,I knew it was not wise to spend it on something that I did not really need.Anyway sales personnel are always out on the sole mission of selling and so can tell you anything to just make you buy their items so I didn't mind her language.

It makes me feel like these people have a talent to make you interfere with your budget in order to accommodate the item that they are selling.

I think she is very tactless. When we have limited money on hand, food is more important than other material things. While she has to meet her sales target, she has to understand that others have to put food on the table for the family.

Even if she was all out in order to make a sale, tact should always be there.

A sales person ought to have a convincing mouth to really get anyone to agree to buy their item.

some even follow you until you are forced to buy the items they sell
