Are we really teaching our children through Toys?

Gone are the days when parents were bringing toys to their children to play and enjoy their sweet and memorable childhood. The children were playing with the newly bought and gifted toys and were enjoying with their friends. He was soon breaking them out or if not their fellow friends and when it happened they were again asking for a new one which the parents were buying them very dearly unmindful of the expenditure involved though they had some effect on their pocket in terms of monthly expenditure. With the development of Technology the scene has totally changed. There are no toys of mud or clay. No toys of Wood and Plastic. Only fibre and battery operated ones which even the newly born are not able to appreciate as the children are more interested in Computer Games and even the small kids do like to play with Remote controlled toys which are costly which parents can not afford not more than once. Hence, the culture of caution to preserve and play carefully without breaking them. The ultimate effect of this is developing the culture of possessiveness than developing an open and broad mind. The children are forced to develop to remain in isolation playing with the toys bought, in his own room instead of going out and spend some time with other friends. This as a whole is developing in them an attitude of selfishness than sharing. The parents bring toys and instruct the children to play in the house only without showing them to their own friends with whom they should actually share. Of course, the parents are having their own reasons for such instructions and it is ultimately affecting the overall development of their children only.

My 4 year old son actually learned a lot through his tablet.

Yes. Should we feel proud of it or feel sorry for it is the question. He might have got many friends if he had not played with a tablet.

I think toys that children can manipulate are much better.
